Mission Statement
“The missionary goal of Guerreiros de Jesus is to glorify God by bringing the Good News of Jesus and the Story of Salvation to the unreached people along the Amazon River in Brasil through medical and sport evangelism. The sports of Grappling, Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are used as tools to proclaim the gospel in His name and for His glory.”
Founders
Dr. Ricky Tubbs and Denise Tubbs, RN, founded Guerreiros de Jesus in 2023, as a non-profit 501c3 Alabama incorporated, outreach ministry. Currently, Guerreiros de Jesus is sending medical professionals and Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners to evangelize unreached people along the Amazon River in Brasil. The main office is in Gardendale, Alabama, along with missionary partners, Amazon Hope, Enon Baptist Church and the Resurrection Baptist Church in Manaus, Brasil.
